Mission Statement

The Biltmore Lake Community Action Committee’s primary mission is to Stop Asheville in its attempt to forcibly annex Biltmore Lake.

Secondly, in order to provide mutual benefit to all, it is our intent to help unite communities and groups opposed to annexation within Buncombe County and elsewhere who currently face forced, involuntary annexation. Additionally, we will reach-out to those areas/groups that have already been forcibly annexed to see if we can assist one another in the legal challenge against forced annexation. We hold the belief that a consolidated, proactive effort is essential to effect change.

Finally, by supporting progressive, legislative actions we are determined to help insure the grossly unfair and undemocratic process of forced, involuntary annexation in the state of North Carolina is stopped via legislative law.
